Internships

Join our team. Own a project that ships.

We assemble small teams of interns to work on concentrated business development or technical projects. With access to the full pre-release tile platform you will engage in real deliverables and work alongside the people building the core technology. Prior development experience not required.

  • Structure

    Teams of 2–3

You work alongside one or two other interns on a single concentrated project, not a queue of unrelated tickets.

  • Duration

    Four weeks minimum

No maximum. Four weeks is enough to finish something; stay longer if the project and the interest hold.

  • Flexibility

    Flexible hours

Part-time by design, so it fits around a semester. More hours are welcome and move the project faster.

  • Location

    Remote, Stuttgart, or Munich

Fully remote works. So does joining us in person in Stuttgart or Munich if you would rather be in the room.

Two tracks

Projects run in both, and some teams span the two.

Business development

Help a young hardware platform reach the people who should be using it, and build the material that gets it there.

  • WorkshopsShape and run the on-site workshop program: the material, the outreach, the follow-through.
  • EducationBuild course material and lab exercises that put tiles in front of students.
  • Social mediaOwn a channel end to end: what gets built in public, and how it gets told.
  • GrantsFind the programs worth applying to, and write the applications.

Examples, not a menu. If you arrive with a project of your own that fits the platform, pitch it. That is a good application.

Technical

Take a real device concept from idea to working hardware on the tile platform: firmware, sensing, and the prototype itself.

  • Sports trackingMotion and orientation sensing on the body, and the firmware that makes it mean something.
  • Pet accessoriesSmall, rugged, battery-powered devices for an unforgiving user.
  • BiosignalsMeasuring the body honestly: signal chain, noise, and what the data actually supports.
  • Ear wearablesAudio and sensing in the tightest form factor we build for.

Examples, not a menu. If you arrive with a project of your own that fits the platform, pitch it. That is a good application.

What you take with you

  • A project with your name on it

You own a piece of what we are building, and you can point at it afterwards. Nothing here is a make-work exercise invented for interns.

  • The whole platform, not a corner of it

Tiles, Studio, the Composer, the open-source SDK, and the hardware itself. Technical or not, you see how a device gets made.

  • Direct access to the team

A small company means short feedback loops: you talk to the people making the decisions, and your work reaches them the same week.

Early access

Interns work with unreleased tiles and pre-release Studio builds. You will use subsystems before they ship, and what you report back shapes them.

Apply

Tell us who you are, which track interests you, and what you would like to work on. A short, specific note beats a long CV, and we read every one. Questions first? info@bergsonne.io.
